Deputies Investigate Threats and Find Suspect and His Girlfriend Hiding in an Attic
DATE/TIME: Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 4:45p.m.
INCIDENT: MANUFACTURING OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE/ FELON IN POSSESSION OF AMMUNTION/ FELON IN POSSESSION OF BODY ARMOR
LOCATION: 8000 Block of Pumalo Ave., Lucerne Valley
SUSPECT: Bobby Bohannon, 35 years-old, of Lucerne Valley
Kayden Cotter, 19 years-old, of Lucerne Valley
SUMMARY: On Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 4:45pm, deputies attempted to contact Bobby Bohannon at his residence in the 8000 block of Pumalo Ave., in Lucerne Valley. It was reported to law enforcement Bohannon had made threats of violence to family members.
Bohannon refused to come out of the residence. Bohannon and his girlfriend, Kayden Cotter, barricaded themselves in the attic. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Departments Specialized Enforcement Division and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Departments Marijuana Team responded to assist. After a several hours standoff, Bohannon and Cotter were taken into custody.
During a search of the residence, a Butane Honey Oil Lab (BHO) was located. Several fake firearms, ammunition, body armor, ballistic helmets and fake search warrants were located inside the residence. Bohannon’s vehicle had been wired to have flashing blue and red lights.
Bobby Bohannon and Kayden Cotter were booked at High Desert Detention Center. Cotter is being held in lieu of $100,000.00 bail. Bohannon is being held without bail.
