***UPDATE***
Medical personnel on-scene established vital signs after initially pronouncing the subject deceased. He was transported to a local area hospital, where he is in critical condition.  

On February 15, 2022, at 0806 hours, SVPD responded to a call of a gunshot with a subject down in the 4900 block of Westwood Street. On arrival, officers located a man down in a driveway with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Later, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. SVPD Detectives responded. There are no outstanding suspects and no additional public safety risk.
