1:35 PM: Officer Rivera investigated a theft of a vehicle in the 35000 block of Lido Blvd that occurred sometime after 12/23/21.
 
Sunday, January 2, 2022
4:42 PM: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 35000 block of Lido Faire Shopping Center. Upon arrival, officers observed multiple subjects fighting. Within a minute or two the fighting dissipated.

7:43 AM: Officer Kapu investigated the theft of a catalytic converter in the 39000 block of Potrero Dr. 
9:20 AM: Officer Taylor investigated a theft in the 37000 block of Filbert St. 
1:04 PM: Officers made contact and arrested a 43-year old male out of Oakland for an outstanding warrant. He was issued a new court date and released. 
4:43 PM: Officer Taylor investigated a report of a theft in the 36000 block of Newark Blvd. Loss was a purse.

6:37 AM: Officer Garcia investigated the theft of a vehicle in the area of Bayshores Ave and Springtide Rd that occurred overnight. 
10:36 AM: Officer Damewood made contact and arrested a 36-year old male out of Manteca in the 5000 block of Cedar Ct for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
10:38 AM: Officer San Pedro investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 5000 block of Stevenson Blvd. Loss was a fanny pack. 
6:28 PM: Community Service Officer investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 7000 block of Gateway Blvd. Loss was tools.

8:01 AM: Officer Garcia investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave. No loss at this time. 
11:03 AM: Officer San Pedro investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 5000 block of Mowry School Rd. Loss was a laptop, an iPhone, and $680 in cash. 
8:24 PM: Officer Soto made contact and arrested a 32-year old female out of Fremont for shoplifting in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. She was cited and released. 
11:14 PM: Officers made contact and arrested a 47-year old male out of Newark in the 5000 block of Cedar Ct for trespassing. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

6:02 AM: Officer Garcia investigated the theft of a catalytic convertor in the 38000 block of Guava Dr. 
12:10 PM: Officer Garcia investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 7000 block of Thornton Ave. The vehicle fled prior to Officer arrival. One subject associated with the vehicle fled on foot and officers gave chase. Officer Garcia made contact and arrested a 27-year old male out of Newark. He was ultimately arrested for burglary, possession of burglary tools, and obstructing a peace officer. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.  
1:22 PM: Officer San Pedro investigated the theft of a vehicle that occurred in the 37000 block of Filbert St. 
1:53 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated the theft of a bicycle in the 36000 block of Cedar Blvd. 
4:08 PM: Officer Arroyo investigated a theft in the 7000 block of Thornton Ave. Officer Arroyo made contact and arrested a 29-year old male out of Newark for shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

10:07 AM: Officers made contact with a 23-year old female for petty theft in the 35000 block of Newark Blvd. The reporting party did not seek prosecution so the subject was released and stolen items returned. 
1:28 PM: Officer Rivera investigated a report of vandalism in the 36000 block of Ruschin Dr. 
2:18 PM: Officer Taylor investigated a report of a theft in the 7000 block of Jarvis Ave. Officer Taylor made contact with a 20-year old male out of Newark. Prosecution was not desired. The stolen items were returned.
3:52 PM:  Officers investigated a report of theft in the 35000 block of Newark Blvd. The subject was not located and the reporting party did not seek prosecution. 
4:08 PM: Officer Pacheco investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 7000 block of Mowry Ave. Loss was documents. 
7:12 PM: Officer Frentescu responded to a report of an unwanted guest in the 34000 block of Newark Blvd. Officer Frentescu made contact with a 23-year old female that was refusing to leave. She was placed under citizen's arrest for trespassing and violating probation. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
 
Monday, January 10, 2022
5:47 AM: Officer Soto investigated a theft of a catalytic converter that occurred overnight in the 6000 block of Truckee Ct. 
7:03 AM: Officer Kapu investigated the window smash to a vehicle that occurred in the 37000 block of Cedar Blvd overnight. No loss as this time. 
7:25 AM: Officers responded to a report of a subject causing a disturbance in the roadway in the area of Newark Blvd and Highway-84. Officer Damewood made contact and arrested a 38-year old male for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
11:28 AM: Officer Arroyo investigated a report of a battery that had occurred in the 1000 block of Newpark Mall Rd. The subject fled prior to officer arrival.
4:43 PM: Officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision in the area of Central Ave and Cedar Blvd. Officers are still investigating. 
7:44 PM: Officers investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 3000 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Loss was a laptop and backpack.

8:09 AM: Officer Garcia investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 6000 block of Newpark Mall Rd. No loss reported at this time. 
9:08 AM: Officer Rivas investigated the theft of catalytic converters in the 8000 block of Central Ave. The thefts occurred on 01/10. 
9:28 AM: Officer Slavazza investigated the theft of a catalytic converter in the 35000 block of Dumbarton Ct. The theft occurred sometime overnight. 
1:29 AM: Officer Rivas responded to investigate vandalism that occurred in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. Damage to the windows consisted of two BB holes to the panes of glass.
1:34 PM: Officer Slavazza responded to investigate vandalism that occurred in the 37000 block of Newark Blvd. Damage to the windows consisted of a BB hole and several “spider-webbing” cracks throughout the pane of glass.

7:17 AM: Officer Garcia investigate the theft of a motor vehicle in the 6000 block of George Ave. The theft occurred sometime overnight. 
8:05 AM: Officer Damewood investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 39000 block of Potrero Dr. Loss was a spare key to the vehicle. 
9:24 AM: Officers investigated several commercial burglaries that occurred in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. Loss was cash from the registers. 
1:43 PM: Officers investigated three auto burglaries that occurred throughout the city. Loss was tools. 
10:59 PM: Officers investigated a commercial burglary that occurred in the 36000 block of Newark Blvd. Loss was a cash register. 
 
Friday, January 14, 2022
6:26 AM: Officer Garcia investigated the theft of a motor vehicle in the 6000 block of Jasmine Ave. At 1:45 PM the vehicle was recovered in Oakland. 
7:19 AM: Officers investigated multiple auto burglaries throughout the City. Loss was a wallet.
11:06 AM: Officer Arroyo responded to a report of a traffic collision in the area of Cedar Blvd and Edgewater Dr. Officers found one driver, a 68-year old female, trapped in her vehicle and emergency personnel was able to extract her from the vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, a 20-year old male out of Newark, nearby his vehicle. All involved parties were transported to various local hospitals. 
11:05 AM: Officer Johnson investigated a theft of a motor vehicle in the 36000 block of Munyan St. 
12:33 PM: Officer Garcia investigated a strong-armed robbery on Christine St. Loss was the victim’s jewelry. Officers are still investigating.

1:49 AM: Officers investigated a commercial burglary in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. 
2:06 AM: Officers investigated a commercial burglary attempt in the 5000 block of Newark Pl. The suspect broke a front window but did not appear to make entry. 
7:45 AM: Officer Quinonez investigate the theft of a catalytic converted in the 36000 block of Cherry St. 
9:30 AM: Officers investigated several commercial burglaries that occurred in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. Loss was $300 from a register. 
12:55 PM: Officer Quinonez investigated a battery in the 37000 block of Sycamore St. Officer Quinonez made contact and arrested a 51-year old female out of Newark for battery and an outstanding warrant. She was cited and released.
