Sunday, January 16, 2022
7:43 AM: Officers responded to investigate a report of an assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm) in the 5000 block of Stevenson Blvd. Officers made contact and arrested a 39-year old male for assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm) and probation violation. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
7:52 AM: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance and vandalism in the 35000 block of Dumbarton Ct. The subject fled prior to officer arrival. The subject was later located in area of Thornton Ave and Newark Blvd and admitted to the vandalism. She was arrested for vandalism, obstructing a peace officer, probation violation. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
7:54 AM: Officers investigated a commercial burglary in the 5000 block of Central Ave. Loss was a cash register. 
2:09 PM: Officer Rivera investigated a vehicle burglary that occurred sometime after 1/11/22 in the 6000 block of Overlake Pl. Loss was a backpack. 
2:30 PM: Officer Taylor investigated a grant theft of tools in the 36000 block of Cedar Blvd. Loss occurred sometime after Friday. 
 
Monday, January 17, 2022
3:33 AM: Officers investigated vandalism and battery in the 6000 block of Jarvis Ave. Upon officer arrival, multiple subjects fled the area. Officers gave chase and ultimately made contact with a 25-year old male out of Fremont, an 18-year old male out of Fremont and a 21-year old male out of Fremont. The three subjects were arrested for battery on a person, vandalism, obstructing a peace officer, found property and an outstanding warrant respectively. They were booked at Santa Rita Jail.

11:25 PM: Officers responded to a report of trespassing in the 7000 block of Mowry Ave. Officers made contact with two 34-year old males out of Hayward. They were both arrested for trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation respectively. They were booked at Santa Rita Jail.

5:22 AM: Officers investigated a report of a burglary in the 38000 block of Spicebush Pl. Loss has not been determined at this time. Officers are investigating. 
6:41 PM: Officers responded to a grand theft in the 6000 block of Jarvis Ave. Loss was a cash register. 
12:55 PM: Officer Pacheco located an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the area of Port Sailwood Dr and Port Tidewood St. 
1:54 PM: Officer Quinonez investigated an interrupted catalytic converter theft in the 6000 block of Joaquin Murieta Ave. The suspect vehicle was last seen fleeing out of the parking lot toward Joaquin Murieta Avenue. 
2:56 PM: Officer Rivas investigated the theft of a bicycle in the 7000 block of Peachtree Ave. Officers made contact with a 27-year old male out of Newark regarding the investigation and ultimately were able to locate and recover the bicycle. The bicycle was reunited with the owner. The case was sent over to the District Attorney’s Office for consideration of a theft charge. 
2:59 PM: Officer Swadener investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 35000 block of Haley St. Incident occurred overnight. No loss reported. 
4:34 PM: Officer Swadener conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of Thronton Ave for speeding. The driver, a 29-year old male out of Las Vegas was arrested for an outstanding warrant. He was cited and released.

6:23 AM: Officer Pacheco investigated a theft of a motor vehicle in the 35000 block of Farnham Dr. Incident occurred overnight. 
10:18 AM: Officer Damewood investigated a theft of a motor vehicle from Spring Tide Rode. The theft occurred on 1/20/22. 
11:24 AM: Officer Garcia investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 8000 block of Gateway Blvd. The loss was cash, paperwork, and a key. 
1:25 PM: Officer Garcia investigated two thefts of catalytic converters in the 36000 block of Cherry St. 
2:10 PM: Officer Damewood investigated the vandalism to a fence in the 35000 block of Dumbarton Ct. The incidents are believed to have occurred sometime overnight.
2:55 PM: Officer Garcia investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 8000 block of Whitesurf Way. The loss was paperwork. 
3:44 PM: Officer Damewood investigated a motor vehicle theft in the 37000 block of Walnut St. 
4:59 PM: Officer Garcia investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave. Loss was cash and gold.

3:07 AM: Officer Torres investigated a commercial burglary in the 36000 block of Newark Blvd. Loss was a cash register.
8:44 AM: Officers investigated multiple commercial burglaries that occurred throughout the city. 
 
Sunday, January 23, 2022 
6:48 PM: Officer Torres responded to a report of a shoplifter in custody in possession of a gun in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Officer Torres ultimately arrested a 37-year old male for carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of a controlled substance with armed with a loaded firearm, possession of a controlled substance, shoplifting and multiple outstanding warrants. He was booked at Santa Rita. 
11:01 PM: Officer Herrera investigated a theft of a vehicle in the 1000 block of Newpark Mall Rd.

12:32 AM: Officer Swadener made contact and arrested a 57-year old male out of Newark in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
1:56 AM: Officers investigated multiple commercial burglaries that occurred throughout the City. 
7:20 AM:  Officer Jackman investigated an attempted commercial burglary in the 6000 block of Thornton Ave. 
2:51 PM: Officer Taylor investigated a theft in the 6000 block of Mowry Ave. Loss was $265 in cash. 
11:36 PM: Officers investigated multiple commercial burglaries. A rock was used to gain entry through glass doors.

12:26 AM: Officers investigated multiple commercial burglaries in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. Loss was a cash register. 
 
Thursday, January 27, 2022
1:38 AM: Officers made contact and arrested a 51-year old male in the 6000 block of Stevenson Blvd for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
11:12 AM: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 36000 block of Cherry St. Officer Soto made contact with a 50-year old male and arrested him for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at San Mateo Jail. 
12:27 PM: Officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision into three parked vehicles. Officer Johnson made contact and arrested the driver, a 27-year old male for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. While investigating this incident, Officer Johnson made contact and arrested a 30-year old female for knowingly allowing an unlicensed driver to drive a vehicle. She was cited and released. 
12:36 PM:  Officer Arroyo investigated a theft in the 35000 block of Newark Blvd. Officer Arroyo made contact and arrested a 22-year old male for petty theft. He was cited and released. 
 
Friday, January 28, 2022
6:39 PM: Officer Norvell accepted a citizen’s arrested of a shoplifter in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. The subject, a 32-year old female out of Hayward was cited and released. 
7:56 PM: Officer Swadener investigated an armed robbery that had just occurred in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave. Incident is still under investigation.
10:41 PM: Officer Losier investigated a report of suspicious activity in the 36000 block of Cherry St described as subjects banging on a residential front door and breaking a window. Officer Loiser arrived on scene and a foot pursuit ensued. The subject ultimately jumped into the backseat of a vehicle and fled. Officers are still investigating the incident.

8:54 AM: Officer Jackman investigated a theft of a catalytic converter that occurred at approximately 4:00 AM in the 36000 block of Sandalwood St. 
1:44 PM: Officers investigated a commercial burglary in the 6000 block of Overlake Pl involving the theft of several firearms. Officers are investigating. 
5:18 PM: Officer Arroyo investigated a cold grab-n-run theft in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Loss was merchandise valued at $671.71. 
8:53 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave. Loss was a laptop and drone. 
9:36 PM: Officer Kapu responded to investigate an unprovoked battery that just occurred in the 5000 block of Jarvis Ave. Officers located the subject, a 40-year old male out of Newark, nearby and arrested him for battery. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
10:47 PM: Officer Swadener investigated the theft of a motorcycle in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. 
  
Sunday, January 30, 2022
1:19 AM: Officer Herrera made contact and arrested a 36-year old male out of Fremont in the 39000 block of Cherry St for two outstanding warrants. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
3:39 AM: Officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave. Officers arrived on scene and surrounded the building within 2 minutes of the call but the suspect fled prior to officer arrival. It was later learned that there had been a delay in the initial call. Incident is still under investigation.
7:10 AM: Officers conducted a security check in the area of Mowery Ave and Cedar Blvd and discovered two cold commercial burglaries. 
8:47 AM: Officer Taylor investigated an attempted auto theft in the 6000 block of Benecia St. The door was pried, and the ignition was damaged. 
10:11 AM: Officer Jackman investigated an overnight burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 35000 block of Bettencourt St. Loss was tools. 
10:09 AM: Officer Rivera investigated a cold theft in the 6800 block of Graham Ave. 
2:35 PM: Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1000 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Officers made contact and arrested a 28-year old male out of Hayward for being too inebriated to care for himself or others and battery. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

9:12 AM: Community Service Officer Parks investigated a theft of a catalytic converter in the 39000 block of Potrero Dr. 
9:46 AM: Community Service Officer Parks investigated a theft of a catalytic converter in the 39000 block of Balentine Dr. 
11:49 AM: Officer Rivera investigated the theft of jewelry from a victim’s ears. 
12:50 PM: Officers responded to a fight in-progress in the 7000 block of Thornton Ave. Officers made contact and arrested a 49-year old male for battery. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
3:30 PM: Officer Jackman investigated a theft of a trailer in the 37000 block of Willow St. 
6:39 PM: Officers responded to a report of trespassing in the 7000 block of Mowry Ave. Officers made contact and arrested a 26-year old male for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
