* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of up to one tenth of an inch possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Illinois, mainly near and northwest of the Illinois River.

* WHEN...Beginning after midnight Wednesday night, and continuing through Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute, with a more significant impact during the afternoon commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A change from rain to mixed precipitation will occur late Wednesday night, becoming all snow by mid morning Thursday. The heaviest snow accumulation will be from mid morning through the afternoon.
