Flood Advisory until 12:15PM

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by a combination of rain, snowmelt and river ice is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following areas, Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake IL and Will.

* WHEN...Until 1215 PM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Elevated ditches, streams, and rivers near bankfull.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 920 AM CST, numerous river gauges indicated bankfull and near bankfull conditions. Widespread rainfall up to one inch with isolated areas up to 1.5 inches on top of frozen ground has caused minor flooding in many areas. - No additional rainfall is expected, but water may be slow to drain toward ditches and creeks. - Some locations that may continue to experience minor flooding include... Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Elgin, Cicero, Hammond, Arlington Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook, Palatine, Skokie, Des Plaines, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Mount Prospect and Wheaton.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COOK, IL ... DUPAGE, IL ... GRUNDY, IL ... KANE, IL ... KENDALL, IL ... LAKE, IL ... WILL, IL
