Warrant Issued for Woman Who Has Been Identified as a Suspect in Identity Theft Cases

SUSPECT(S): Stephanie Romero, 37-year-old resident of Chino
VICTIM(S): Confidential residents of Chino Hills
SUMMARY: During the past month, Chino Hills Detectives noticed a pattern of vehicle burglaries that occurred at English Springs Park, located at 2201 Grand Avenue, Chino Hills. Detectives discovered the victim's credit cards were immediately used at Target and Walmart in the city of Chino.
During the course of the investigation, detectives learned the same female was responsible for fraudulently using three seperate victims' credit cards. The female was identified as Stephanie Romero, who was on felony probation in Los Angeles County.
On Monday, February 14, 2022, a warrant was issued for Romero who was later arrested by officers from the Pomona Police Department. Romero was booked into a Los Angeles County jail on additional weapons violations. She will be transported to a San Bernardino County jail after being released from Los Angeles County.
