* WHAT...Southwest winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph this afternoon with gusts to around 45 mph expected. Winds will shift to the northwest tonight with wind gust potential remaining around 45 mph through the night. Snow showers are also expected from this evening through the overnight. A quick inch of snow is possible tonight.
* WHERE...Portions of central, south central and southwest Michigan.
* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 10 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will occur between 300 PM and 300 AM. Driving conditions after dark will be less than ideal with gusty winds and falling snow.
