9 AM CST SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Areas of blowing and drifting snow expected, especially
in open areas, due to wind gusts to 40 mph over freshly fallen
snow.
* WHERE...Northeast Illinois and portions of northwest Indiana and
north central Illinois.
* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 9 AM CST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Blowing and drifting snow resulting in snow covered
roads, sharply reduced visibility and hazardous travel
conditions, primarily in open areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow showers or squalls may accompany the
highest gusts along a cold front this evening, with bursts of
heavy snow and sudden visibility reductions possible.
