* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 15 inches.
* WHERE...In Wisconsin, Douglas, Burnett and Washburn Counties. In Minnesota, Carlton and South St. Louis and Pine Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band and the Mille Lacs Band, Lena Lake and, Hinckley areas.
* WHEN...From 3 AM Monday to 12 AM Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest accumulations will be Monday during the first wave of the system; however, a secondary wave will arrive Tuesday and mainly impact areas south and east of the Iron Range. The snow should be dry and fluffy.
