Winter Storm Warning until 09:00AM Tuesday

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches.

* WHERE...Susitna Valley.

* WHEN...From noon Monday to 9 AM AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Reduced visibilities to as low as one half mile are also expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light snow begins to overspread the Susitna Valley late Monday morning. Snowfall rates will increase Monday afternoon and continue through Tuesday morning before tapering off and ending around midday Tuesday. The heaviest snow accumulations are expected over the northern valley, with 10 to 16 inches likely along the Parks Highway from Talkeetna north. Lesser snow amounts are expected across the southern Susitna Valley, including Willow, with around 3 to 6 inches of snow.
