Winter Storm Watch until 05:00AM Thursday

* WHAT...For the Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Four Corners/Upper Dolores River, Animas River Basin and San Juan River Basin.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 5 PM this afternoon to 5 PM MST Tuesday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from Tuesday evening through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Plan on hazardous travel conditions due to icy and snowpacked roadways with areas of heavy snowfall and blowing snow impacting visibility. Near whiteout conditions at times are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. A detailed map of the snowfall can be found at: www.weather.gov/gjt/winter.
