On February 21, 2022 at about 1:30 PM, Simi Valley police officers located Jeremy Ford, who is a known felon and who was wanted on a felony parole violation while in the 500 block of Cochran St. Upon seeing the officers, Ford fled on foot and ran across several lanes of traffic on Cochran St. and down a nearby embankment to the railroad tracks. After a perimeter was set by the officers, Ford eventually emerged back onto Madera Rd. where he was taken into custody by the officers with the assistance of a park ranger from the Rancho Simi Park District.
 
Ford, who is a homeless Simi Valley resident, was arrested for his warrants and later taken to the Ventura County Mail Jail where he was booked. This incident caused a temporary inconvenience for vehicles travelling north and southbound on Madera Rd.
