Wanted Person: Matthew Scott Hood 
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team (C.A.T.) is requesting the public’s assistance in locating the whereabouts of Mr. Matthew Scott Hood. Matthew Scott Hood is wanted for a Felony Probation Violation.
On 2/22/2022, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety's A.C.E. team was attempting to arrest Mr. Hood when he fled on foot in the area of Old U.S. 221A Hwy in Mooresboro. Hood was armed with a handgun when he fled. The A.C.E team contacted the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team to assist in the search. The A.C.E. and C.A.T. teams, along with road patrol Deputies and Detectives, searched a large area but were unable to locate Hood.
Mr. Hood was last seen wearing a batman style hoodie with khaki pants. An image of Hood is included in this message.
Mr. Hood should be considered armed and dangerous.
