11:06 AM: Officer Torres investigated a report of an assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm) that occurred in the 5000 block of Cedar Ct. Incident is still under investigation.

3:11 AM: Officers investigated multiple cold commercial burglaries. 
 
Thursday, February 3, 2022
3:58 PM: Officers responded to a report of a burglary to a vehicle that had just occurred in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed prior to officer arrival. Officer Soto is the investigating officer. 
4:30 PM: Officer Lau investigated a burglary that occurred in the 6300 block of Thomas Ave. Loss is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing. 
5:24 PM: Officers made contact and arrested a 76-year-old male out of Newark for DUI. He was booked at Fremont Jail.

6:06 AM: Officer Soto investigated the theft of a vehicle in the 37000 block of Mulberry St that occurred overnight. 
8:02 AM: Officers located a stolen vehicle in the 5000 block of Thornton Ave. Officers made contact and arrested a 39-year old male out of Hayward and a 36-year old male out of Hayward for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of identity theft materials with intent to defraud, and receiving stolen property respectively. They were booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
5:00 PM: Officers responded to a report of a subject attempting to dine and dash in the 34000 block of Newark Blvd. The subject, a 50-year old female out of Oakland, was located nearby and placed under citizen’s arrest. Officers ultimately arrested the subject for defrauding an innkeeper and possession of identity theft materials with intent to defraud. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
5:39 PM: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 36000 block of Cherry St. Officers made contact and arrested a 25-year old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
6:08 PM: Officer Herrera responded to a report of an unresponsive driver in the 5000 block of Thronton Ave. Officer Herrera made contact and arrested a 40-year old male out of Newark for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
6:46 PM: Officer Kapu responded to a report of a vehicle collision in the area of Sycamore St and Central Ave. Officer Kapu made contact and arrested a 71-year old male out of Newark for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
8:38 PM: Officer Swadener investigated a burglary in the 8000 block of Willow Pl. 
8:29 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated a burglary that occurred in the 37000 block of Acorn Pl. 
10:01 PM: Officer Kapu made contact and arrested a 38-year old male out of Newark for multiple outstanding warrants. He was booked at Santa Rita.
10:25 PM: Officer Herrera responded to an alarm activation in the 5000 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Upon arrival, officers found a business that had been burglarized. Loss was $4.00 in quarters.

4:08 AM: Officer Swadener respond to a report of a battery in the 34000 block of Newark Blvd. Officer Swadener made contact and arrested a 26-year old female out of East Palo Alto for being too inebriated to care for herself or others. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
4:28 AM: While at the previous call for service, Officer Kapu located and recovered a stolen vehicle in the 34000 block of Newark Blvd.
7:55 AM: Officer Rivera investigated a report of a burglary that occurred in the 5000 block of Jarvis Ave. The investigation is still ongoing. 
8:23 AM: Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 7000 block of Mowry Ave. While investigating the call, officers located a stolen vehicle with a firearm in plain view on the rear seat. The firearm was recovered and the vehicle was towed. 
10:00 AM: Officer River investigated a theft of a vehicle that occurred overnight in the 6000 block of Bennington Dr. 
9:54 PM: Officer Arroyo investigated a burglary that occurred in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. 
9:32 PM: Officer Slavazza responded to a vehicle collision in the 7000 block of Thornton Ave. Officer Slavazza made contact and arrested a 32-year old male out of Newark of DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

2:45 AM: Officer Slavazza conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Cedar Blvd and Stevenson Blvd. Officer Slavazza made contact and arrested a 30-year old male out of Fremont for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
7:53 AM: Officers investigated multiple cold burglaries. Incident investigations are ongoing.
2:54 PM: Officer Jackman responded to a report of a robbery in the 6000 block of Galleta Dr. Loss was a necklace. 
10:35 PM: Officer Swadener responded to an alarm activation in the 36000 block of Cedar Blvd. Upon arrival, Officer Swadener found a business that had been burglarized. The Incident is still being investigated. 
11:06 PM: Officer Herrera was conducting security checks and located a cold burglary in the 5000 block of Jarvis Ave. 
11:11 PM: Officers investigated two burglaries in the 5000 and 6000 block of Jarvis Ave.
11:46 PM: Officer Kapu investigated an armed robbery that just occurred in the 7000 block of Jarvis Ave. Loss was a cell phone, $200, 4 bottles of alcohol, and cigars.

12:05 AM: Officers investigated an attempted burglary in the 6000 block of Jarvis Ave. 
2:34 AM: Officer Herrera investigated a burglary to a vehicle that had just occurred in the 37000 block of Bay Crest Rd. Loss was documents. 
10:04 AM: Officers investigated a burglary that occurred in the 6000 block of Jarvis Ave. 
11:51 AM:  Officers responded to a report of an unwanted guest in the 5000 block of Cedar Ct. Officers ultimately made contact and arrested a 26-year old male out of Union City for possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.  
2:14 PM: Officer Taylor investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred sometime overnight in the 37000 block of Bay Crest Rd. Loss is not known at this time. 
2:43 PM: Officer Jackman investigated a burglary that occurred overnight in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. 
10:34 PM: Officer San Pedro and Office Riddles made contact with a 58-year old male out of Redwood City in the area of Lido Blvd and Normandy Dr. A records check revealed the subject had an outstanding warrant, which he was ultimately arrested for. He was issued a notice to appear and released. 
11:02 PM: Officers responded to a disturbance in the 5000 block of McDonald Ave. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the subject, a 40-year old female, but she refused officer commands and assaulted an officer. Officers were able to safely detain the subject and she was ultimately arrested of vandalism, battery on a peace officer and obstructing a peace officer. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

12:54 AM: Officer Riddles made contact and arrested a 42-year old male out of Hayward in the 5000 block of Jarvis Ave for an active felony warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
2:04 AM: During a security check in the 5000 block of Central Ave, an officer noticed a cold burglary. The Incident is still under investigation. 
9:15 AM: Officer Johnson made contact and arrested a 19-year old male in the area of Thornton Ave and Mayhews Landing Rd for speeding. A search of his car resulted in the recovery of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The subject was ultimately arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. 
3:18 PM: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 36000 block of Cherry St. Upon arrival officers located a 24-year old male holding a firearm. Officers gave the subject commands to drop the gun and the subject complied and was safely taken into custody. The subject was ultimately arrested for carrying a loaded firearm in public, carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony, and being too inebriated to care for himself or others. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. Officers located the second involved subject, a 24-year old male, nearby. He was ultimately arrested for outstanding warrants as well as being too inebriated to care for himself or others. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

1:29 AM: Officers responded to a single vehicle collision into a tree on Thornton Ave. Officers made contact with a 44-year old male out of Hayward. He was ultimately arrested for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
1:56 PM: Officers made contact and arrested a 39-year old male in the 37000 block of Newark Blvd for multiple outstanding warrants. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
10:22 PM: Officer Rivas investigated an attempted robbery that had just occurred in the 5000 block of Mowry School Rd. The subject fled prior to officer arrival. While checking the area, Officer Frentescu located, made contact, and arrested a 20-year old male out of Fremont for robbery, obstructing a peace officer, and probation violation. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
 
Friday, February 11, 2022
3:33 PM: Officers responded to a report of shoplifting in the 2000 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Officers made contact and accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 33-year old male out of Oakland for trespassing and shoplifting. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
9:03 PM: Officer Swadener conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Chapman Dr and Cedar Blvd. Officer Swadener made contact and arrested a 20-year old male out of Milpitas for an outstanding warrant. He was issued a new court date and released. 
10:53 PM: Officer Kapu investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 3000 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Loss was a backpack and laptop. 
11:16 PM: Officer Kapu investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave. No loss reported at this time. 
11:40 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave. No loss reported at this time.

6:05 AM: Officers investigated a burglary that occurred in the 7000 block of Jarvis Ave. Loss was cigarettes. Case investigated by Officer Taylor.
 
Sunday, February 13, 2022
12:02 AM: Officers investigated two burglaries that occurred in the 6000 block of Jarvis Ave. 
1:21 AM: Officer Herrera investigated a burglary to a vehicle that occurred in the 6000 block of Clark Ave. No loss reported at this time. 
2:40 AM: While conducting a security check in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd, officers observed suspicious activity described as a male subject dressed in all black riding around on a bicycle through a business alleyway. It should be noted that no businesses were open in the area during this late hour. An officer gave chase as the male attempted to evade the officer. Officers ultimately made contact and arrested the subject, a 28-year old male out of Fremont, for possession of burglary tools and loitering on private property. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
3:17 AM: Officer Riddles conducted a security check in the 5000 block of Central Ave and observed a cold burglary. Loss was a computer and a cash register.
