Full Notification

On Thursday, February 24, there were four attempts between 4PM and midnight to enter motor vehicles in Summit. All four vehicles were parked in driveways. Suspects tried to enter the vehicles, but all were locked with no key fobs nearby. Suspects fled when unable to gain entry to vehicles.
 
At approximately 4:15PM, suspects driving a black Honda sedan with tinted windows attempted to enter a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2018 BMW X5 on Colony Drive. Both attempts failed as vehicles were secured.
 
At approximately 11:55PM, a Wallace Road resident observed a light-colored sedan without headlights park across the street from their property. A black male wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt exited the parked vehicle and failed to gain entry to two locked vehicles in the driveway. When unsuccessful, the suspect returned to vehicle and drove towards Route 124.
