The dedication and diligence of your Police Department has resulted in a reduction of violent crime within Beverly Hills over the last two months.  Despite these efforts, an armed robbery occurred this afternoon.  I want to reassure the community that all measures are being taken to keep our community safe.  This evening, we have a full complement of police officers on high alert.  Our officers are supplemented by private security officers.  BHPD officers and private security officers will be providing extra patrols throughout this evening and weekend.  The men and women of the Beverly Hills Police Department are committed to keeping our community safe.  I encourage all community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons or activity without delay.
