The Village of Burr Ridge is lifting its indoor masking requirement within Village facilities.

As of Monday, Feb. 28, the Village of Burr Ridge is lifting its indoor masking requirement within Village facilities to match updated State of Illinois guidance. Visitors are no longer required to wear masks inside Village facilities, which include Village Hall, the Police Department, and Public Works buildings.

Please note that under State of Illinois requirements, masks are still required where federally mandated – including on public transportation (such as Pace buses) – and in health care facilities, long-term care facilities, congregate settings, and daycare facilities. In addition, private businesses can choose to implement their own masking requirements.

The Village of Burr ridge encourages all citizens to protect the health of our community by implementing the recommendations of the Illinois Department of Public Health, such as staying home if you are sick, continued testing when recommended, and considering vaccination and boosters against COVID-19 when eligible. Masks will continue to be freely available to residents if they are needed.
