Criminal Activity.
Over the past several years our service area along with most of Monmouth County have experienced an uptick in stolen motor vehicles.
These criminals have become more brazen and as recently as last night have begun to enter homes through unlocked entrances in search for motor vehicle keys. This has become an extremely dangerous situation and we need the public’s help in stopping these crimes.
We have been telling everyone for a long time to ensure you are locking your cars and to take any valuables with you. Now we must remind everyone to ensure you are locking your homes as well. Sometimes we can become complacent and forget this simple task; however, we must work together and ensure we are taking all necessary steps to keep our families safe.
Patrols have been increased and we want to ensure our residents and visitors are informed about all criminal activity occurring in our service area and surrounding jurisdictions.
Please make sure you are securing your vehicles and homes and report any suspicious activity immediately to the police. The individuals last night entered several homes and stole several vehicles in various jurisdictions. Please be on the look out for any suspicious activity. These criminals are often operating high performance vehicles, potentially armed, and have no regard for anyones saftey while committing these crimes.
Once again please lock your cars and homes and report any suspicious activity to the police immediately. Together we can prevent these crimes and remove the opportunity for these crimes to be committed. Stay safe!
Instructions:
Lock your cars and homes.
