Detectives Investigating Shooting on Hatch Road 
Modesto, CA -
On Tuesday, at about 1:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to the area of Hatch Road and Crows Landing Road for the report of a vehicle in the canal after it was shot at. When they arrived, the car was located on Hatch Road near Cascade Avenue with a single occupant.
Deputies pulled a Hispanic male from the vehicle as medical personnel arrived at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Crimes Against Persons Unit responded with the Crime Scene Unit to take over the investigation.
Hatch Road between Dallas Street and Crystal Avenue will be shut down for the next several hours as detectives process the area for evidence.
