The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of February 20, 2022 - February 26, 2022.        
 
February 20, 2022

• Burglary (Residence):

1600 block of Duncannon Avenue.  On 02/19/22 between 11:00 pm and 11:30 pm suspect(s) unknown entered the victim’s residence by cutting open her window screen and entering through the window.  Once inside, suspect(s) stole the victim’s engagement rings. Prior to arriving home, the victim observed her ex-boyfriend, whom she was assaulted by the day prior driving away from the location. Loss was approximately $6,700.
 
February 21, 2022

• Burglary (Commercial):

2046 Central Avenue. Between 02/18/22 6:00 pm and 02/21/22 8:00 am suspect(s) unknown pried open the front door to the location. Suspect(s) ransacked the business and stole a 2004 white Chevy Express van LIC 7Z98805. No surveillance video available.

February 24, 2022

• Attempt Grand Theft:

1100 Block of Calle Malaga. On 02/24/22 two unknown males, suspect 1 driving a red Dodge Charger and suspect 2, driving a gray four door sedan were observed on video surveillance attempting to steal the catalytic converter from the victims black Toyota Prius. Suspects fled the location when the neighbor came outside and shouted at the suspects. Video surveillance available.    
 
February 25, 2022

• Burglary (Commercial):

1801 Flower Avenue (Kelter Electric Co). Between 02/24/22 1:50 pm and 02/25/22 4:55 am suspect(s) unknown entered the location through a loading dock roll up door. Suspect(s) stole a roll of copper wire and a box of power tools.  Loss was approximately $12,000. No surveillance video available. 

• Aggravated Assault (Domestic Violence):

1846 Huntington Drive (Route 66 Roadhouse).  On 02/25/22 at 11:04 pm the victim and his girlfriend were at the location discussing relationship issues while drinking a good amount of alcohol. The suspect showed up who is the ex-boyfriend and began to argue with the victim. They all exited the location where the victim and suspect began to fight.  The victim fell to the ground, where the suspect continued to assault the victim and began to kick him in the head.  The suspect and the girlfriend fled the location in the suspect’s vehicle. Video surveillance available.

Vehicle Security:

• An unlocked car is an open invitation to a car thief.
• Lock up when you leave your car, and take the keys with you.
• Lock the trunk or tailgate.
• Close all windows — professional thieves have tools that unlock cars through the smallest openings.  
• When you park the car, remove cellular phones and other valuable possessions. Do not leave anything lying on the seat.
• Lock all valuables in your trunk or take them with you.
• Lock your car even if you are making a quick stop at the gas station, convenience store, or mini-mall.
