Clay County 911 Center phone lines are down. Technicians are in the process of getting the 911 system back in service. If you have an emergency, please dial 911 and your call will be taken by Cherokee County 911 and the information relayed back to Clay County 911 for service. If you are unable to reach 911, please report to the Clay County EMS base at 41 Courthouse Dr., Clay County Fire and Rescue on May St. in Hayesville, NC, the Clay County Sheriff's Office at 295 Courthouse Dr., or go to the nearest hospital emergency room. Additional messages will be sent out when the 911 phone system is back up.
