Have you ever wanted to know the "HOW" and "WHY" about Law Enforcement?

The Lancaster and Palmdale Stations are hosting a Community Academy and we want you to participate! The 42nd Community Academy will begin Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Lancaster and Palmdale Sheriff Stations are looking for 50 community members to participate in our Antelope Valley’s 42nd Community Academy. This program will focus on the Sheriff Department’s operational procedures.

Participants will go on a ride-a-long, tour a custody facility and participate in role-playing exercises. The purpose of the Community Academy is to build a better understanding between the community and the Sheriff’s Department through education. The class will meet for eight consecutive weeks from April 19th through June 7th, 2022. The class is absolutely FREE and will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 9:00pm, at Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, located at 501 West Lancaster Boulevard in Lancaster.

If you are interested in participating in this free class, please stop by either Lancaster or Palmdale Sheriff’s Station lobby and ask for an application at the front counter. All applications MUST be turned in to either station lobby in person. The cut off date to submit an application will be Friday, April 1st, 2022.

Due to the limited class room space, only the first 50 applicants will be accepted, and only those who qualify will be contacted. Applicants who are eligible but are not enrolled in this academy class will be placed on a list for future academies.

Remember, space is limited! Make sure you get to participate in this incredible, unique opportunity by submitting your application today!
