* WHAT...Blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Winds 25 to 35 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta coast.
* WHEN...From 9 PM Thursday to 6 PM AKST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow may reduce visibilities to less than one half mile at times.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will arrive in two rounds. First, easterly winds will increase Thursday evening ahead of a low approaching from the eastern Bering. Winds will combine with falling snow to produce low visibility conditions through Thursday night before the low center reaches the coast. As the center of the low passes, weaker winds will lead to briefly improved conditions before southwesterly winds return on the back side of the low Friday morning. Visibility will improve through the day Friday as snow comes to an end.
