Increased Fire Danger Through 7PM Today

INCREASED FIRE DANGER IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM TODAY
Today will be very warm and dry across western North Carolina. Relative humidity values will drop to between 15 and 25 percent in the Piedmont, and 20 to 30 percent in the mountain valleys. When combined with 10 to 15 mph winds that will gust at times to between 20 and 25 mph, increased fire danger will result through this evening.

Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn today. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
