Santa Rosa Fire Department Hosts First Women’s Public Safety Day
The Santa Rosa Fire Department is hosting the first annual Women’s Public Safety Day this Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SRFD Training Tower at 2126 W. College Ave. in Santa Rosa. This outdoor event will provide women with an interactive hands-on public safety learning experience. The event will be led by local women from emergency medical services, police, and fire departments sharing what it’s like to be a woman in public safety, both on and off duty.
Event attendees will visit informational booths to learn more about community involvement, law enforcement, fire prevention, fitness and wellness, dispatch and communications, and network with women in public safety. Emergency vehicles will be out on display and a structure fire demonstration is planned for the day.
