INCIDENT: P.C. 261.5 Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor P.C. 647.6 Annoying/Molesting a Minor

SUSPECT(S): John Peter Tibon, 23-year-old resident of Tracy
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Twin Peaks Station, responded to Rim of the World High School for a report of an adult male annoying and molesting a juvenile. The victim, a 15-year-old female juvenile, had been in a romantic relationship with John Tibon, a 23-year-old male. After the victim ended the relationship, Tibon contacted the victim several times attempting to rekindle their prior relationship. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the two had sexual intercourse. Tibon is not an employee at the school or has any affiliation with the school.
Deputies located Tibon at the County Library in the community of Crestline. Tibon was taken into custody for violation of P.C. 261.5, Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor and P.C. 647.6, Annoying/Molesting a Minor. Tibon was booked into the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Central Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bail.
