The Traffic Bureau is educating motorists of improper dropping off and picking up passengers in school zone areas. Officers will be conducting roadside stops to inform vehicle operators of the proper manner to take on and let off passengers from motor vehicles. When dropping off or picking up passengers please follow motor vehicle laws and pull to the curb. Working with the community to accomplish goals makes a good community a GREAT ONE.
New Jersey Title 39:4-65. Letting off or taking on persons
No operator of a vehicle shall stop the vehicle on the road or highway for the purpose of letting off or taking on a person, other than at the curb or side of the road or highway.
