Over the past several weeks Ocean Township has experienced several catalytic converter thefts.  The actors will jack up the vehicle and utilize a portable saw to remove the catalytic converter.  The vehicle observed at several of our thefts is a black Range Rover with a New Jersey license plate.  This vehicle has also been seen at several thefts throughout the state.  These thefts occur at all hours of the day not just at night.  If any resident of Ocean Township has a catalytic converter removed from their vehicle please make a police report.  As always report any suspicious activity to OTPD and immediately call if that vehicle is seen within Ocean Township.
