ALJ Student Pick up

All of the students and staff from Arthur L. Johnson High School have been safely relocated to the Municipal Building located at 430  Westfield Ave. The high school has undergone an exhaustive search, utilizing both police officers and specially trained canines. After the search was completed, the building has been deemed secure.  The process for reunification will be as follows:

  1. Students will be reunified with their parents in alphabetical blocks starting at A and continuing to Z.
  2. IF your child drives to school, the attendance office will confirm that they were present in school today. He/she will be released. They can then pick up their vehicle at ALJ.  They may not give rides to any other students.
  3. When you are contacted to pick up your child, please come to Municipal Building and park in the parking lot.  You will need to bring proper identification with you. You must be listed as an emergency contact in order to pick up you child/children.
  4. If the parking lot if full, you can park at ALJ and walk over.
  5. Once at the Municipal Building, police officers and/or staff will guide you to the sign-out location.
  6.  Once you presented proper ID and have signed out your child, please go directly to your vehicle and exit.  Please do not linger in the area.  This will help us expeditiously reunite all children with their parents.

Thank you all. Please do not come to pick of your child until they notify you. Again, we must stress this is 1 to 1 pick up.  You may not pickup multiple children. We realize that this process may take some time and we appreciate your patience.
