Temporary Flock Camera Placement 
Good afternoon,
Today, 3 FLOCK Cameras were temporarily installed just north of FM 1093 at Cowhide, Sagebrush and Chisolm roads. The installation was a solution offered by FLOCK, due the concern over recent burglaries. The process with TxDOT has been slower than the city and FLOCK had hoped, so a temporary solution was offered. The Mayor contacted the Board of the POA to see if they would approve the temporary installation. The city and FLOCK received an email stating that the POA board had in fact approved this temporary placement.
As soon as the TxDOT agreement is complete, permanent perimeter cameras will be placed on TX Dot Right of Ways in the city. And the temporary cameras at the entrances of Valley Lodge will be removed.
As far as review of footage from these cameras is concerned, no one at the City has the ability to review. The agreement for review of footage is strictly for law enforcement, in this case that would include Precinct 1 Constables and the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office. Review of footage is ONLY triggered by a police reported incident.
