After reviewing its records on whether an ambulance transport involved a resident with a confirmed case of COVID-19, the EMS Department determined that it made three transports of positive residents to hospitals in February, with two of three transports on February 1 and 2. All three transports were from residences. It was not zero transports as reported in yesterday’s update. It was still a marked decrease from 10 transports in January. The new numbers increased the pandemic’s total of transports to area hospitals by Town ambulances to 320 residents, or almost 1 positive COVID hospital transport for every 100 residents.
I hope that you have an enjoyable and relaxing weekend.
Thank you for staying safe and calm.
