Red Flag Warning until 07:00PM Sunday
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from noon to 7 PM MST Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued from Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening.
* AREA AND TIMING...This includes the East Central Plains of New Mexico for both this afternoon and again Sunday afternoon though early evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Westerly at 20 to 30 mph with gusts near 45 mph through early this evening. Winds will strengthen from the west on Sunday with sustained speeds of 25 to 35 mph and occasional gusts as high as 55 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Dropping between 11 and 15 percent each afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST CENTRAL PLAINS
