* At 434 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Winterset, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include... West Des Moines, Norwalk, Windsor Heights, Des Moines Int'l Airport, Southridge Mall, Des Moines, Carlisle, Principal Park, Iowa Events Center, Drake Stadium And Knapp Center, Pleasant Hill and Iowa State Fairgrounds. This includes the following highways... Interstate 35 between mile markers 54 and 71. Interstate 80 between mile markers 134 and 137. Interstate 235 between mile markers 3 and 14.
