The CDC’s new guidance. which only recommends wearing facemasks indoors in counties with a “high” level of risk, continues to find that, as of March 3, Albany County has a “medium” rate where facemasks are not recommended except for persons at risk for serious illness.

The Guilderland Hannaford has selected the Guilderland High School Backpack Program as the recipient of this month’s Hannaford Fight Hunger Bag Program.  For every “Fight Hunger” reusable grocery bag purchased during March, Hannaford will donate $1 to the GHS Backpack program which provides six easy-to-prepare meals on Friday afternoons so that students will have meals to eat over the weekend.  You can also help by making food and monetary donations or volunteering to help pack the meals.  It costs about $6 to provide a child with a weekend’s meals, and about $185 for a full school year. You can register a student in the program by clicking here.

I hope that you have been having an enjoyable and relaxing weekend.

Thank you for staying safe and calm.
