Burr Ridge Police Seeking Assistance from the Public – Fatal Hit and Run
The Burr Ridge Police Department is investigating a fatal hit and run motor vehicle crash which occurred Saturday, March 5, 2022 at approximately 9:20 PM at the intersection of Illinois Route 83 and Central Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene, where witnesses say that two vehicles struck a pedestrian who was walking east bound across Route 83. The pedestrian, a 16-year-old male, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where he died as a result of his injuries.
Two possible suspect vehicles were described; a dark colored SUV, possibly a 2014-18 Jeep, which will have passenger side front end damage; and, a dark colored SUV, possibly a 2013-15 Toyota, which may have front and right side damage. Investigators are also seeking help identifying a dark colored Acura SUV with Wisconsin license plates that was seen leaving the area.
The Burr Ridge Police Investigations Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the drivers and vehicle involved in this crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Burr Ridge Police Department at 630-323-8181.
