INCIDENT: Child Cruelty, Transporting/Selling Narcotics, Selling/Transporting Marijuana, Transporting Controlled Substance
LOCATION: 16500 block of Green Tree Blvd, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Mister Joseph Bingham Jr., 27-years-old, resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Confidential juveniles
SUMMARY: On Thursday March 3, 2022 at 7:16 p.m., Sheriff’s dispatch received a call referencing an intoxicated man at the incident location for an extended period of time with several juveniles in his car. Deputy B. Tizzard, and Deputy S. Evans from the Victorville Police Department responded to conduct a subject check.
When deputies arrived, they located the matching vehicle occupied by the driver, later identified as Mister Joseph Bingham Jr., and four juveniles. Deputy Tizzard observed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and a strong odor of alcohol coming from Bingham.
Deputy Evans ensured the children were safe while a search of Bingham’s vehicle was conducted. The search resulted in multiple illegal substances being found in the vehicle within reach of the children.
A search warrant was obtained and served for Bingham’s residence and an additional search of his vehicle. Bingham was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for PC 273A(A) child endangerment, H&S11352(A) transporting/selling narcotics, H&S11360(A) selling/transporting marijuana, H&S11379 transporting a controlled substance.
