Man Forces Entry into Business, Threatening Employees and Causing Thousands of Dollars in Damage

DATE/TIME: Sunday, March 6, 2022/5:16 p.m. 

INCIDENT:  Indecent Exposure, Felony Vandalism, Criminal Threats, and Burglary 

LOCATION: 20000 block of State Hwy 18, Apple Valley 

SUSPECT(S):  Jason Charles Catron, 37-year-old resident of Apple Valley  

VICTIM(S): Multiple 

SUMMARY:  On Sunday, March 6, 2022, at approximately 5:16 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to Alliance Rendezvous Escrow located in the 20000 block of State Hwy 18 for a naked man who had forced entry into the business where several employees were working. 

Upon arrival, it was learned the suspect, later identified as convicted felon Jason Catron, forced his way into the building through a locked door. Once inside, Catron threw several computer monitors, keyboards, and coffee cups on the floor and tore off a restroom mirror, causing thousands of dollars in damages. Catron also ripped up multiple company checks and threatened to kill an employee. Multiple employees barricaded themselves in offices during the incident. Deputies arrived on scene within minutes of the 911 call and arrested Catron without incident.  

Catron was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for indecent exposure, criminal threats, burglary, and vandalism. He is scheduled to appear in the Victorville Superior Court on March 8, 2022, and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
