Winter Weather Advisory until 06:00AM Friday

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches, with localized amounts up to 16 inches.

* WHERE...Copper River Basin north of Gakona.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Wednesday to 6 AM AKST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult due to slippery roads and reduced visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall will begin Wednesday morning and accumulation rates will gradually increase during the day near Paxson and Chistochina north. Snow will peak in intensity late Wednesday afternoon through Thursday, especially through Isabel Pass. Light and intermittent snow will continue through the day on Friday. If you must travel, plan extra time and carry an emergency kit.
