Power Outage / Road Closure - Monroe St/John Hill School area 
Currently there is a power outage affecting Monroe Street and Reservoir Dr due to a weather event. Several utility poles are broken in that area with wires being down on the ground.
JCP&L is estimating a restoration of early afternoon on Wednesday, March 9.
The Town of Boonton Office of Emergency Management will be opening a warming/charging station in Town Hall beginning at 7am on Wednesday morning. It will remain open until 4pm.
As always a few safety reminders:
Please stay away from any downed wires or trees. Also please utilize generators safely with exhaust away from your home to prevent carbon monoxide from entering your home.
Please use battery powered lighting and never candles to provide light if needed around your Home.
