INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: 14100 block of Green Tree Blvd, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Fernando Sanchez, 36-year-old resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On March 8, 2022, at 10:12 a.m., Deputy D. Portillo from the Victorville Police Department was dispatched to a call for service reference an assault with a deadly weapon.
The incident began around 10:00 a.m. when the suspect, later identified as Fernando Sanchez, and the victim got into a verbal argument. The suspect then kicked the victim and hit the victim in the head with his cell phone causing a laceration. Fernando fled the scene on foot.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., Deputy Portillo located Sanchez walking on D St. in Victorville. Sanchez was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for PC 245(A)(1)-Assault with a Deadly Weapon not a Firearm. He is being held in custody on $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on March 10, 2022.
