On March 10, 2022 at approximately 4:30 P.M. Simi Valley Police Officers responded to the 2000 block of Magnolia St. for a fight in progress. The investigation revealed, 30 year old Simi Valley resident Jonathan Chavez was at his friend's residence and got into an argument with her family. The argument escalated into a fight and Jonathan retrieved a knife and used it against her family causing injuries to three people. The victim's sustained non-life threatening injuries. Jonathan was detained a few blocks away trying to flee the area and was arrested for 245(a)(1) PC and 3056 PC.
