SUSPECT(S): Tony Morales, 64-year-old, Resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On January 10, 2022, Deputy Alvarado from the Highland Sheriff’s Station was contacted by a female victim who advised she had been sexually abused by a family friend when she was just 15 years old. Deputy Alvarado completed the initial investigation and identifed Tony Morales as the suspect. Detective Coillot took over the investigation and authored an arrest warrant for Morales.
On March 9, 2022, Coilott established communication with Morales through investigative techniques. Morales agreed to meet with Coilott at a public business, believing he was meeting with the victim. Coilott was assisted by members of the Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Division and took Morales into custody without incident, as he arrived at the designated meeting place.
Morales was booked into Central Detention Center on chages of PC 288(C)(1) with a bail amount of $250,000.
