Narrative:

In January of 2022, deputies assigned to the Todd Road Jail Classification Unit and detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit Street Team concluded a two-month investigation into narcotics being mailed into the Ventura County Jail.  The investigation involved Nicholas Wagemann, an inmate incarcerated at the Todd Road Jail and Desiree Doll, both of whom conspired to have the narcotics smuggled through the Ventura County Jail inmate mail system.

Throughout the month of January, investigators intercepted mail that was surreptitiously embedded with Suboxone.

During the ensuing investigation, deputies learned that Wagemann was actively conspiring with Doll to formulate specific plans to circumvent jail security measures in order to successfully have narcotics smuggled into the Todd Road Jail.

With the accumulated evidence and information obtained, detectives located Doll in the city of Reseda and a search warrant was obtained and executed at her residence. Doll was arrested and booked into custody for the narcotics and conspiracy charges.  Her bail was set at $40,000.  Wagemann was supplementally booked for conspiracy and is currently in-custody.
