INCIDENT: Impersonating an Officer

SUSPECT(S): Unknown white male adult, approximately 30-years-old, short brown hair, a mustache/short beard, wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, black and white shoes
VICTIM(S): State of California

Investigators continued their investigation and identified the subject in the picture as a legitimate employee of Alcohol Beverage Control who was performing official business at the location.
SUMMARY: On March 10, 2022, at 8:18 p.m. deputies from the Victorville Police Department were dispatched to Joe’s Liquor at 16137 Green Tree Boulevard #12 in Victorville for the report of a subject who came into their store claiming to be a police officer.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., an unknown suspect entered Joe’s Liquor and put on a necklace with a badge resembling a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department badge. The suspect identified himself as a police officer with the city and was there to check on the store’s business license. He walked behind the counter asking about weapons in the store and talked about the city changing their business license. The suspect then left the area on foot.
The public’s assistance is needed to identify the suspect and investigators are releasing his photo.
