This afternoon shortly before 3pm, Trine Martinez (25) of Fairfield turned himself into custody at the Fairfield Police Department lobby. Martinez was accompanied by his attorney and did not provide a statement. Martinez is being medically cleared at a local hospital prior to being booked into the Solano County Jail for murder and attempted murder.
The Solano County Coroner is still attempting to notify next of kin for the deceased victim, and his name will be withheld until then. As for the other two victims, one has left the hospital after surgery, while the other is still being cared for and considered to be in grave condition.
From the investigation we can confirm this was not a random shooting and was predicated by an altercation between the involved parties. As this is an on-going investigation, further details will not be released at this time.
