INCIDENT: PC 273A(A) - Child Endangerment
LOCATION: 1400 Block of J Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Alaina McMahon, 38-years-old, Resident of Crestline, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at approximately 3:07 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department contacted Alaina McMahon in a hotel room located near the 1400 block of J Street during a medical aide call for service.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found the suspect's boyfriend was not breathing and had succumbed to an apparent overdose. Deputies witnessed drug paraphernalia throughout the hotel room, readily available to McMahon's three children who were present in the room.
Through investigation, it was determined the suspect, Alaina McMahon, was in violation of PC 273A(A) - Child Endangerment and her three children were placed in the care of Children and Family Services.
McMahon was arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. McMahon remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $100,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
