OPD NEWS:
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a burglary of a cannabis business that occurred on March 14, 2022, just before 11:30 PM, in the 2800 block of E 10th Street. Officers responded to the area to investigate a report of individuals breaking into a cannabis business.
Upon arrival, officers observed several individuals fleeing from the building in multiple directions. The front door of the building showed obvious signs of forced entry. Officers engaged in a foot pursuit resulting in one individual being detained and later arrested.
A perimeter was quickly established, and an extensive search of the area was conducted. During the search, a second individual was taken into custody. Officers are still looking for three individuals connected to this incident.
Two loaded firearms were recovered on scene, one with an extended magazine.
