Casino Security Detains Suspect Who was Later Arrested by Deputies for Domestic Violence

DATE/TIME: March 15, 2022, at approximately 7:45 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 273.5(a) Felony Spousal Abuse

LOCATION: 10 Block of Main St., Havasu Lake, CA

SUSPECT(S): Thomas Peterson, 49-years-old, Resident of Lake Havasu, AZ

VICTIM(S): Confidential


SUMMARY: On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at approximately 7:45 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance near the 10 block of Main Street in Havasu Lake, CA. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered the victim had been assaulted by her boyfriend, Thomas Peterson, and casino security had him detained.

Through investigation, Peterson was found to be in violation of PC 273.5(a) - Felony Spousal Abuse. Peterson was arrested and booked at the Colorado River Station jail with a bail amount of $50,000.00 Peterson remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, awaiting a court hearing.
