Single Vehicle Injury Crash 
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 03/16/2022 at approximately 1737 hours, his office was called to investigate a single vehicle personal injury crash on Beebe Rd, east of Kish Rd, Howard Township, Cass County Michigan.
Initial investigation shows that 58-Year Old Edwardsburg resident, David Mortimer, was traveling east on Beebe Rd, when he lost control of his vehicle. Mortimer’s vehicle left the roadway and traveled into a culvert. Mortimer was evaluated on scene by SMCAS emergency medical personnel and transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for non-life threating injuries. Mortimer was not wearing a helmet and speed appears to be a factor. Drugs and Alcohol do not appear to be factors in this crash.
